Why Does the Quality of Zirconium Corundum Bricks Have an Effect on Glass Stones?

Date:2019-08-30 10:29 From:Zhengzhou Sunrise Refractory Author:admin
The mineral phase composition of fused zirconium corundum brick: corundum, oblique zircon, AZ eutectic and glass phase. Since corundum and oblique zircon are closely combined with each other, the eutectic structure is formed uniformly and densely, and the porosity is low, so the corrosion resistance is good and increases as the ZrO2 content increases.

Zirconium corundum bricks are generally used in places where the temperature is relatively high and the molten glass is severely washed, such as: small furnace blasting port, lower pool wall and fluid hole, etc., the working surface of the brick body and the glass liquid is often yellow brown and light. white. The stones that appear on the board after being eroded by the bricks are mostly yellowish white and white enamel, and the particles are small, dense and hard. The alkaline component in the glass is still the main component of erosion. At the high temperature, the alteration process of the zirconium corundum brick is that the alkaline oxide in the glass reacts with corundum to form nepheline, and the oblique zircon is difficult to react with the glass. It is enriched in the contact zone and melts in the glass liquid with increasing temperature. During the glass forming and cooling process, a secondary recrystallized skeleton-like, star-shaped oblique zircon is precipitated, which is often symbiotic with nepheline.
